I did it! I finally have more deviations than scraps in my gallery!
And this is my first ever digital painting... my gosh I have so much to learn. I think I read about 10 tutorials just to get it to this stage. I've drawn on inspiration from so many great artists here, and really want to put in the time and effort to improve. Anyway! It's some of Totoro's friends from studio Ghibli. There's meaning to this piece regarding my journey as an artist, but I'll leave the interpretation up to you. C&C welcomed, but of course I'm secretly hoping you're going to love this because I do  The tutes I can remember: Rain: [link] Shading: I can't remember... but it was a good tute! I cannot do this with a mouse at all (well, I can, but every time I try, the picture becomes pixelated for whatever reason). And I don't own a tablet myself.
